Ministry in Ecuador's Amazon Gateway

Why This Matters for Ministry: Where rivers are highways, rainforest is neighborhood, and 51,000 souls need hope in one of Earth’s most biodiverse regions. We’re not just reaching communities – we’re reaching the gateway to the Amazon itself.

OUR STORY

A Dream Born in the Heart of the Amazon

Deep in Ecuador’s Amazon region of Orellana, surrounded by mighty rivers and lush vegetation, stands our El Coca center – a refuge and source of hope for over 18 years. This is more than our home; it’s our operations center where God’s love flows out to the most remote communities.

Every week, we prepare provisions and travel to communities like the Quichua settlement of San Cristóbal, the sports field turned church in Toyuca, the welcoming children of San Bartolo, and the mestizo families of La Democracia. What makes each trip special isn’t just the food we carry – it’s watching hungry faces light up, knowing that this plate of food might be their first meal of the day, or perhaps their last.

In Toyuca, we’ve witnessed something beautiful: every Wednesday, a simple sports field transforms into a church, a meeting place where over 40 children and youth gather faithfully to dive deeper into God’s Word. This is where the Kingdom of God expands in the Amazon.

«They love God and His Word. It fills them with joy to share and learn together.»

Communities We Serve

Where Your Love Reaches Every Week

Why Geography Matters for Ministry Unlike urban ministry, reaching these communities requires:

  • Motorcycle transport on challenging jungle roads
  • Weather-resistant food storage due to high humidity
  • Cultural sensitivity for indigenous Quichua traditions
  • Seasonal planning around rainforest flooding cycles

Each community represents hours of travel through some of the world’s most challenging terrain – but every journey is worth it when we see God’s love transform lives.

Three years ago, we planted a church here – a warm, united community growing together and extending God’s kingdom
