OUR STORY
Where God's Vision Was Born
More than 30 years ago, it all started here. In Villa Florida, one of the most populous neighborhoods in Santo Domingo, God placed a vision in the heart of His servant Pastor Alejandro Mejia. What began in a challenging but needy neighborhood has become the birthplace of Elohim Evangelistic Ministries – with hopes pinned on the author and perfecter of our faith.
Here, former neighborhood children have become servants of Christ, now teaching the Word of God to the next generation.
Today we serve through multiple programs designed to reach children, teens, youth and adults.
At Villa Florida, we work alongside leaders and youth who were once children in our community. Together, they teach God’s Word to 60 children, while we have expanded to serve at Union Civica and Porton Provincial Council – reaching more than 20 tweens and teens at each location.
«It’s amazing to see how the children remain faithful in learning and loving God. We are strengthening faith and walking toward a future with Christ.»
Communities We Serve
Where Your Love Reaches Every Week
Why Urban Ministry Matters Unlike rural outreach, reaching urban neighborhoods requires:
- Gang intervention in high-risk areas
- After-school programs
- Family counseling for broken urban households
- Skills training for unemployed youth
- Elder care for forgotten seniors
Every community is a mission field where God’s glory manifests.
